Meet the Teacher

My name is Jane Napp, and I am a professional theatre and film actress from Estonia.

I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become an actress. It was never simply a dream – it felt like a calling. Theatre has been part of my life since I was eight years old, and from the moment I stepped into my first theatre class, I knew I had found my place.

My journey began in youth theatre, where I received the Best Actress Award at a national theatre festival in Estonia and the Young Talent Award in Jönköping, Sweden. I later graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and broadened my training through exchange studies in London and Tampere.

After graduating, I spent five years at one of Estonia's largest state theatres, performing leading and supporting roles. During that time, I was honoured with the theatre's Best Actress Award. In 2025, I was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Estonian Theatre Awards for my role as Honey in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Alongside my theatre work, I have also appeared in film and television productions, including the international series The Day of the Jackal, where I had the opportunity to work alongside Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch.

After several rewarding years in repertory theatre, I chose to continue my journey as a freelance artist. Life – and love – eventually brought me to Strasbourg, where I am excited to share my passion for theatre with the local community.

I believe that the purpose of theatre is not to judge life, but to reflect it. It is a space where we build confidence, creativity, focus, presence, empathy, and genuine human connection. Through play and imagination, we discover not only characters and stories, but also ourselves.

My teaching is rooted in two simple beliefs: that every person has limitless potential, and that the safest place to grow is one where you feel accepted exactly as you are.

Whether you are stepping into a theatre class for the very first time or looking to develop your acting and improvisation skills, you are warmly welcome. There are no auditions and no pressure to be perfect – just a supportive space where you can explore, create, and grow.
